Success Stories

I.A.S, From Hisar, Haryana
In Delhi, UPSC aspirants usually prepare with books spread across tables, highlighted notes, coaching handouts, mock interviews.
Manu prepared with memory.
With pauses.
With audio recordings replayed until information became instinct.
Years before the Civil Services interview board would evaluate him, another examination had already begun — inside a small home in Haryana, after a ninth-grade boy lost his eyesight and the future around him suddenly became quieter.
His mother started reading textbooks aloud. Not occasionally.Entirely.
History chapters. Constitutional articles. Current affairs. Revisions. Again and again.
Somewhere in those late-night readings, their relationship stopped being only mother and son. They became a two-person education system.
At Deepstambh Manobal, Manu encountered something rare: accessibility without pity. Systems designed not to “accommodate” ambition, but to accelerate it.
In 2024, he secured AIR 91 in UPSC.
But numbers rarely tell the real story.
The real story is this:
A boy who could no longer see the page learned how to read the country.

MBBS Student, From Malegaon, Maharashtra
Anjali never stopped dreaming about the future she wanted.
Medicine came up often in those conversations.
Even while navigating questions around identity, family acceptance, and financial uncertainty, she continued preparing for NEET with consistency. Study schedules survived grief, instability, and interruption.
Three days before the examination, she lost her father.
She appeared for the exam.
During her second phase of preparation, Anjali joined Deepstambh Manobal’s Pune residential campus, where she received training for the exam, and a stable environment for study.
Today, she is a second-year MBBS student at a medical college in Puducherry.
For Anjali, becoming a doctor was never only a career goal.
It was a way of choosing herself fully.

From Village, State
Rajesh types faster with his legs than many people type with their hands. Over time, what began as adaptation became instinct. Keyboards, shortcuts, coding workflows — his interaction with technology evolved through repetition, experimentation, and patience.
People often focus on how Rajesh works. Rajesh is more interested in what he’s building.
During his time at Deepstambh Manobal, he pursued engineering while continuously refining his technical skills. Coding became less of a challenge to overcome and more of a language he enjoyed working in.
Today, Rajesh works as a Software Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services, handling software development and technical tasks independently.
He is especially interested in accessible technology and adaptive digital systems.

Police Sub-Inspector (PSI),
From Village, State
Satish understands discipline less as motivation and more as routine.
Wake up. Work. Study. Repeat.
For years, education existed between farm work, night shifts, and temporary jobs taken simply to continue studying. The idea of joining the police force stayed steady through all of it.
At Deepstambh Manobal, Satish received residential support and a structured environment that allowed him to prepare consistently for competitive examinations.
Years later, Satish completed his Police Sub-Inspector training.
At his Passing Out Parade, Yajurvendra Mahajan attended as his guardian.
The uniform was the final mark of a commitment established through years of hardwork.

BFA Student, Sir J. J. School of Art
Mumbai, Maharashtra
Raj notices shapes before most people do.
Posters peeling from walls. Faces inside crowded trains. Shadows moving across traffic signals.
Long before formal art education entered his life, observation already had.
Raj spent part of his childhood on the streets of Mumbai before entering a remand home. Years later, after turning eighteen, he once again found himself without residential support.
At Deepstambh Manobal, he found stability, guidance, and dedicated support for art education. He was able to learn art from a qualified art tutor
Today, Raj is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai.
For Raj, art was never an escape.
It was a way of expressing himself and his dreams.

MBA Student, IIM Udaipur,From Village, State
Praneet likes systems that work smoothly.
Accessible files. Organized notes. Readers arriving on time. Technology that removes friction instead of adding to it.
After years of navigating inaccessible classrooms and examination systems, he stopped waiting for better support structures and started building some himself. Volunteer writer networks gradually became larger accessibility initiatives supporting visually impaired students.
During his academic journey, Deepstambh Foundation supported him through guidance, scholarship assistance, and preparatory training.
Today, Praneet is pursuing his MBA at IIM Udaipur as the institute’s first visually impaired student. He is currently interning with Bosch Global in Bengaluru.
Mainstream success was never a mere exception for Praneet; it was the path he rightfully deserved.

Through Deepstambh Manobal’s online education and assistive technology training, she gained access to learning tools that supported independent study. Today, Thanya serves as India’s first visually impaired woman Judicial Magistrate.

Seva and Samarpan, ie. Service and dedication are reflected from the work of Manobal. Through Manobal one can experience the satisfaction of giving back to society. My sincere wishes for this selfless service to people with disabilities and orphans.

When I first heard about this unique project Deepstambh, I was extremely happy. Work of this kind and magnitude has not happened in India until now. I am now associated with Manobal. Had such facilities and guidance been available when I was struggling for education, my difficulties would surely have been reduced.

Human Rights Commission of India
Deepstambh's Manobal is a very unique project across India.
